C. Immunization Type File
To access the immunization type file screen, click on File -> C. Immunization Type File.
Some states require that all vaccines/immunizations that are administered or dispensed at a pharmacy be reported to the state. We are currently working on allowing you to do this directly from the BestRx program and this feature will be available sometime in the beginning of 2016. By creating immunization types and linking them to drugs in your system, it will allow for the BestRx program to properly report these drugs when this feature is available.
Adding a New Immunization Type
When adding a new immunization type, make sure the Add Immunization option is selected towards the top of the screen. Enter in the Immunization name, Short Code, whether or not it will require reporting and add any applicable Diagnosis codes; click the "Save" button to save the information or click the "Save & Exit" button to save the information and go to the Rx Processing screen.
Editing an Existing Immunization Type
Enter in the whole or partial immunization name to search for existing immunizations. To select the immunization simply click anywhere on the row of the name in the list. Enter in the appropriate information to be edited and click the "Save" button to save the information or click the "Save & Exit" button to save the information and go to the Rx Processing screen.
Deleting an Immunization Type
To delete an immunization, make sure the Edit Immunization option towards the top of the screen is selected. Click the "Delete" button and click "Yes" when the system asks “Are you sure you want to delete this record?”
The user may also clear all the data displayed on the screen by clicking the "Cancel" button or by pressing the "Enter" key when the "Cancel" button is highlighted.
