8. Drug Group File

Drug Group File

The Drug Group File screen allows users to create, edit, and manage collections of drugs grouped for processing or organizational purposes.

To access the Drug Group File screen, click on File 7. Drug Group File.

Adding a New Drug Group

To create a new drug group, click Add New Drug Group and ensure that the Add New Drug Group option is selected at the top of the screen. Enter a Drug Group Name, then use the Search for Drug to link to this Group field to locate the drugs you want to include. From the search results, select one or more drugs and click Add Selected Drugs to Group. You can repeat the search process as needed to add additional drugs.

Once all desired drugs have been added, click Save to store the group, or click Save & Exit to save the group and return to the Rx Processing screen or previous screen.

Editing an Existing Drug Group

To modify an existing drug group, navigate to File 8. Drug Group File, select the desired group from the list, and ensure the Edit Drug Group option is selected. To add drugs, use the Search for Drug to link to this Group field, select the desired drugs from the results, and click Add Selected Drugs to Group. To remove drugs, select them from the group list and click Remove Selected Drugs.

After making changes, click Save to apply updates or Save & Exit to apply updates and return to the Rx Processing screen.

Deleting a Drug Group

To delete a drug group, ensure the Edit Drug Group option is selected, then click Delete. When prompted with the confirmation message, “Are you sure you want to delete this record?”, click Yes to proceed.

To cancel changes or clear the screen, click Cancel or press Enter when the Cancel button is highlighted.


Exporting

You can export the displayed search results into a drug group file for external use or reporting.
