Tabs Functionality
Overview
As of February 2023, BestRx includes support for tabbed browsing for reports and file screens.
Usage
When BestRx is opened, only one tab will be present: “New Rx”. This tab will change depending on the Rx being viewed, and cannot be closed.
When a new page is opened, it will be placed in a tab near the top of the screen. If enough tabs are opened, tabs that do not fit will be placed into a dropdown menu at the far right of the tabs, accessible by clicking the double arrow button. There is no limit to the number of tabs that can be opened.
Clicking a tab will bring that page into focus in front of you. Clicking the X next to the tab name will close that tab.
Some tabs can be opened by double clicking line items in certain reports, or by right clicking part of a report and selecting the screen you’d like to open.
Tabs Opened from Function Keys (F2, F3, etc.)
Using the functions on the left hand side or their respective keys for the Patient File, Prescriber File, Drug File, or Patient Profile will open a tab that is linked to the Rx being viewed. If you change the Rx being viewed, and use the function key again, you will be asked which patient you’d like to view.
If you would like to open more than one Patient File, Prescriber File, Drug File, or Patient Profile, you will need to open them using the File dropdown menu at the top left of the window. Opening the file screens in this fashion will let you open as many as you’d like.
