11. Search Master Insurance File
To search the Master Insurance File, go to File → 11. Search Master Insurance File.
Master Insurance File
The Master Insurance File allows you to search through a database of known insurance plans, to easily add them into your own local insurance plan file for use with your patients.
To search, enter the Plan Name, BIN, or PCN in the search bar, and the screen will automatically search for matching plans.
To add a plan, check the box next to the plan you want to add and click Add To Your Insurance File at the bottom.
Plans listed in grey are already in your file and do not need to be added again. The plan will have the same BIN and PCN, but might be under a different name in your system.
Plans in red are inactive and should not be used.
You can also filter by plan type at the top right if you need to narrow down your search.
