2. Usage Summaries

These reports display usage summaries for drugs, prescribers and patients.

A. Drug

To access the Drug Usage Summary screen, click on Report -> 2. Usage Summaries -> A. Drug Usage Summary.

 

 

The Drug Usage Summary screen allows the user to generate a listing of drugs used between a specific time-frame, for selected criteria.

Filtering

The report can be filtered down by multitude of options; the user can choose to filter the search by Drug Name or NDC, by particular Plan or Prescriber. In addition Dollar Amount can be shown or hidden, report can show Top Results, Brand and/or Generics, Controls and Non-Controls, RX and/or OTC, and 340B prescriptions. It can also be sorted and filtered by status.

To generate the Drug Summary, click the "Generate Report" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Generate Report" button is highlighted. You can narrow the report down by selecting specific criteria from the options above before generating the report as previously mentioned.

The report can be sorted any time by simply clicking the column name above the records you'd like to sort by.

Printing

To print the report, click the "Print" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Print" button is highlighted.

Exporting

If you'd like to export the report to a file, click the "Export" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Export" button is highlighted. NOTE: Export to Excel only works on full versions of Microsoft Excel/Office. It does NOT work with the Office Starter 2010 and other starter/third party versions. If using any one of these, export to a Comma Separated Values (CSV) instead.

The user may also clear all the data displayed on the screen by clicking the "Clear" button or by pressing the "Enter" key when the "Clear" button is highlighted.

B. Prescriber

To access the Drug Usage Summary screen, click on Report -> 2. Usage Summaries -> B. Prescriber Usage Summary.

 

 

The Prescriber Usage Summary screen allows the user to generate a listing of prescriptions the prescribers were used for between a specific time-frame, for selected criteria. To generate the Prescriber Summary, click the "Generate Report" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Generate Report" button is highlighted.

Filtering

You can narrow the report down by selecting specific criteria from the options above before generating the report.

The report can be sorted any time by simply clicking the column name above the records you'd like to sort by.

Printing

To print the report, click the "Print" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Print" button is highlighted.

Exporting

If you'd like to export the report to a file, click the "Export" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Export" button is highlighted. C. Patient

The Patient Usage Summary screen allows the user to generate a listing of patients' prescription usage between a specific time-frame, for selected criteria. To generate the Patient Usage Summary, click the "Generate Report" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Generate Report" button is highlighted.

Filtering

You can narrow the report down by selecting specific criteria from the options above before generating the report.

The report can be sorted any time by simply clicking the column name above the records you'd like to sort by.

Printing

To print the report, click the "Print" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Print" button is highlighted.
