4. Medi-Span Update

To access the Medi-Span Update screen, click on Administration -> 4. Medi-Span Update.
Medi-Span Update
The Medi-Span update is a very important update to your BestRx system. The file contains essential information about medication you're dispensing. New information like allergies, interactions, education messages, shape, ID information and more are all included in this file. If any of your drugs seem to be missing information, the Medi-Span update file could potentially fix these issues.
By default, the update downloads and updates Monograph files, Medication Guides, and Drug Images; the user may choose to skip any of these options by opening the More Options menu, then adjusting the options as they see fit as displayed in the image below.
This obtain a Medi-Span update, simply click the "Update" button in the bottom left hand side of the screen. NOTE : This should be done on your server computer if possible as it will be much faster, and will prevent potential issues that could arise from copying files across your network. When the update has finished downloading, it will process and update all files automatically as shown below.
When done, the screen will display a small pop-up in the bottom right:
Simply click Finish when it appears.
To exit this screen and return to work, click the "Exit" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Exit" button is highlighted.
