9. Transfer Inventory to Another Pharmacy

Overview

The Transfer Inventory allows the pharmacy to create a record in BestRx of a medication transfer to or from another pharmacy; this process is entirely symbolic; no electronic transfer occurs.

To access the Transfer Inventory screen, click on Inventory 9. Transfer Inventory to Another Pharmacy.

The user must first choose if they'd like to transfer medication to or from another pharmacy. Next, select the pharmacy for this transfer. If the pharmacy does not appear in the list, click the first option "Create NEW pharmacy".

If they cannot specifically recall the information accurately of the transferring pharmacy, they can select ‘Search National Database’.

The pharmacy can then select the transferring pharmacy by searching for it with some details such as city, name, ncpdp, state, etc.…

Once selected they can then add this pharmacy to their pharmacy file.

Input any and all remarks you might have in the remarks screen, then start adding medication to the report. After searching for a drug name or NDC, select the quantity, and lot information to transfer if applicable and click the "Add Transfer Inventory" button.

You may choose to add more items to the report by repeating the add process or make modifications to the quantity and lot information by clicking on the Rx and pressing “Update Transfer Record”.

To print the report page, click the "Print" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Print" button is highlighted.

To delete a drug from the report, select the drug you wish to delete and click the "Delete" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Delete" button is highlighted.

The user may also clear all the data displayed on the screen by clicking the "Clear" button or by pressing the "Enter" key when the "Clear" button is highlighted.
