IVR Interface Setup

To access/configure the IVR Interface Setup options, click on Misc -> Interface Setups -> IVR Interface Setup. Unlocking of this feature requires a one time fee; please contact BestRx for more details.

IVR Interface Setup

 

The IVR setup screen is used to configure the way BestRx interacts with your IVR system. This will be typically configured by a BestRx Pharmacy Software technician with the help of your IVR technician.

 

Modifying this screen can result in interruption of your IVR queue and refills through the system. This should not be modified without first consulting BestRx and the IVR vendor you’re currently utilizing.

 

  • IVR Type: Choose the IVR system you are currently using.

  • Inbound Port: Indicate which port to listen on for inbound transmission.

  • Outbound Port: Indicate which port to listen on for outbound transmission.

  • IP Address or Computer Name of the IVR Computer: Enter the correct IP Address or Name of the IVR computer. This will typically be 192.168.1.151

  • Automatically Delete Messages Older Than: Choose the time after which you'd like messages to be automatically deleted. Options are 3,5,7,15,30,60 or 90 days.

  • Send Refill Requests via: Choose how you'd like to send refill requests after they've been requested. You can send them through E-Prescribing (when possible), Send Fax from IVR System, or choose to have the Pharmacy will Send Request to do it manually.

 

  • Patient Default for Refill Reminder Calls (Outbound service only): Indicate what you'd like the Refill Reminder Calls default to be for your patients. You can update all patient records by clicking 'Update All' after making your selection.

  • Place Calls for Control Drugs (Outbound service only): Indicate if you'd like these calls to be placed for control medication.

  • Place Calls for C2 Drugs (Outbound service only): Indicate if you'd like these calls to be placed for C2 medication (narcotics).

 

  • Place calls when RXs are due to be refilled (Outbound service only): Indicate if you'd like calls to be placed to the patient when the prescription is due for a refill.

  • Days before Refill is due: Indicate how many days before the refill is due you'd like the call to be placed.

  • Place calls when RXs are past due to be refilled (Outbound service only): Indicate if you'd like calls to be placed for prescriptions that are overdue for a refill.

  • Days after refill is due: Indicate how many days will have to pass before the overdue call is placed.

 

  • Place Welcoming Calls (Outbound service only): Indicate if you'd like Welcoming Calls placed to new patients.

  • Place Calls on Patient's Birthdays (Outbound service only): Indicate if you'd like Birthday Calls to be placed to patients wishing them Happy Birthday.

  • Default Setting for Patient: Indicate if you'd like to set the Birthday notification as default for patients. You can update all patient records by clicking 'Update All' after making your selection.
