3. Merge Prescribers
To Merge Prescribers, click on Misc -> 3. Merge Prescribers.
Merge Prescribers
The merge prescriber function works in the same way as the merge patient function. It allows the user to merge any two prescriber files together into one record.
To merge two prescribers into one, the user will have to bring up the two profiles on the Merge Prescribers screen.
To do this, the user can type in the whole name of the prescriber in the Transfer Info From field to bring up the prescriber profile.
The user can also search for a prescriber name by typing in a partial name and either clicking the search button next to the field or by pressing the "Enter" key. This will bring up a list of names that match the criteria entered.
Choose the appropriate prescriber either by clicking anywhere on the row of the prescriber or by typing in the line number in the field below the list and pressing the "Enter" key.
Repeat these steps for the Transfer Info To field.
When both records are brought up, click on the "Merge Prescribers" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Merge Prescribers" button is highlighted to merge the displayed prescriber records.
The user is then presented with a confirmation dialogue on whether or not to delete the old record as shown below.
The user may also clear all the data displayed on the screen by clicking the "Cancel" button or by pressing the "Enter" key when the "Cancel" button is highlighted.
