5. Transaction Log by Family
To obtain a listing of transactions based on a family, click on Acct Receivables -> 5. Transaction Log by Family.
Charge Account Family Transaction Log
The Transaction Log screen allows the user to generate a log of all transactions for a family or patient for a specified period of time. Keep in mind that this report will only display the date range selected, and could therefore have a skewed Total amount shown in the bottom right based on the limited date range selected. Any transaction outside of the selected date range will not be automatically counted and adjusted towards the total. For a full transaction log, the user should select a date range that encompasses the entire period from when the pharmacy started using the in house charge account until the current date.
To generate a transaction log, choose the From / To dates by typing in their appropriate fields or using the calendar icon to choose correct dates.
Next, enter in the whole name of a patient to bring up the family’s information or enter part of the patient’s name and press the "Enter" key to bring up a list of patients.
To choose the patient click anywhere on the row of the patient or type in the line number of the patient in the field below the list and press the "Enter" key.
The user can choose to show Purchase, Payment, Credit Adjustment or Debit Adjustment by selecting the respective options before generating the report.
When finished, click the "Generate Log" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Generate Log" button is highlighted to obtain the log.
To print the log, click the "Print" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Print" button is highlighted.
If you'd like to export the report to a file, click the "Export Data" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Export Data" button is highlighted. NOTE: Export to Excel only works on full versions of Microsoft Excel/Office. It does NOT work with the Office Starter 2010 and other starter/third party versions. If using any one of these, export to a Comma Separated Values (CSV) instead.
The user may also clear all the data displayed on the screen by clicking the "Cancel" button or by pressing the "Enter" key when the "Cancel" button is highlighted.
