1. eCare Templates
You can create eCare Templates for commonly used encounter types and services in BestRx. Once established, these templates can drastically reduce the amount of time it takes to create new eCare documents for your patients.
eCare Templates can be found under the eCare Plans dropdown, which is located on the menu bar at the top of the main screen in BestRx. The eCare Templates screen (pictured below) will display any existing templates you may have, and you can create new templates here as well.
To create a new eCare Template, simply click the ‘Create New eCare Template’ radio button in the upper left corner.
Then, start by naming the template and selecting the Encounter/Service type.
Next, you will need to complete the other fields before you can continue to the Health Concerns section.
Once you’ve entered all the information on the first screen, you will be asked to add any Health Concerns that should be associated with the template.
You can do this by clicking the ‘Add New Health Concern’ link to the left of the grid (which is highlighted in green below):
After the health concerns have been added, you will continue to the next step, which is defining the patient goals that will help to address the Health Concerns you just listed.
Like the previous screen, just click on the ‘Add New Goal’ link to the left of the grid (as pictured below).
When finished, you can move on to the last step, which is adding interventions your pharmacy will take to help the patient achieve their goals
When finished, click Save in the lower left to create the Template.
Then, when you’re ready to create a new eCare document, you can access an existing Template using the ‘T’ button (circled in red below) located to the right of the Encounter/Service Type field.
Clicking this button will bring up a list of all your previously created templates to choose from.
Additionally, when you are initiating an eCare document for a particular encounter/service type, BestRx will automatically display any templates that match the criteria selected. Then, you can choose whether to continue creating the document, with or without the template.
