Overview

Made available in August 2021 is the Signature Queue, allowing pharmacies to queue up signatures to be collected. Also referred to as Drive-Thru Mode, this feature is especially useful for pharmacies who wish to utilize their normal register, and also hand the patient a tablet at the drive thru window to collect a signature.

Setup

In the BestRx E-Signature software, access the Options menu. Make sure you have your Signature Tablet Type set to “Surface Tablet”. Once this is done, you’ll be able to set the Drive Thru Mode option at the bottom to “Yes”

Usage

When ringing out a transaction in BestPOS that contains at least one prescription, the receipt screen will present an option to Add to Signature Queue. This button is disabled if a signature was already collected.

Open

Once selected, the window will disappear and add the signature to the Signature Queue. The Signature Queue itself is access from the E-Signature software; if the Signature Queue doesn’t appear right away, it can be accessed from the Drive Thru button at the top right.

From here, you can select Click for Signature for the prescription you’d like to sign for. It will pop up on the Surface Tablet, which can be now handed to the patient to finish the signing process. If you’d like to delete an item from this queue, check the box next to it and click the Delete button.
