Scheduled Report Notification Setup

Scheduled Report Notifications allow the pharmacist to receive daily or weekly reports by email, without the need for a messaging interface service. This functionality can only be set up by a user set as a Super Admin or Store Owner for their User Type. Normal and Admin users will not be able to access this screen.

Adding New Report Notifications

Click on the Add New Report Notifications button at the top left of the Scheduled Report Notifications screen.

Info
  • Select Recipient: Select which BestRx user you’d like to send the report to. You can also select an external recipient that is not a user at the pharmacy.

  • Report Type: Select what type of report you would like to send.

  • Email: Enter in the email address that you would like the report sent to. If the user selected above had an email address in their profile, it will appear here automatically.

  • Email Content: Select what format to send the report in. For now, the only option is HTML (web format). PDF format is planned for the future.

  • Frequency: Select how often you would like the report to be sent. If Weekly is selected, you will be asked to select which day of the week to send on.

  • Select Days: If Daily was selected above, you can select which days to send the report on here.

  • Send Notification At: Select what time to send the report. Any weekly report sent in the morning will be generated up to the previous day. Any weekly reported sent in the afternoon will include the day the notification is being sent out.

  • Active: Set whether this report should send or not.

  • Select Report Widgets: Select which reports should be submitted to the email address. By default, all widgets except for Profit By Insurance are selected due to the length of that report. Any combination can be selected, however.

Once configured, the system will generate and send reports automatically at the designated time. More than one scheduled report can be set up, and by using the Active option, you can temporarily disable reports if needed.

Tip

It is recommended to add “pharmacy-reports@messaging.bestrx.com” to your contacts to ensure nothing ends up in your Junk or Spam folders.
