To Purge Old Prescriptions, click on Misc -> 7. Purge Prescriptions.
Purge Prescriptions Screen
The purge prescriptions function will purge any and all prescription that's been filled before the selected date. By law, only prescriptions older than five (5) years can be purged. By good practice, any script younger than 7/10 years should be kept in the system. As laws constantly change, it's better to lean on the safer side.
NOTE: THIS PROCESS CANNOT BE UNDONE. PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION.
If you wish to purge these prescriptions, select the Month and Year from their respective dropdown boxes and click the "Purge Prescriptions" button.
The user may also clear the selections on the screen by clicking the "Cancel" button or by pressing the "Enter" key when the "Cancel" button is highlighted.
