Report Builder

Report Builder enables pharmacies to generate fully customized reports by selecting data fields, applying filters, and saving configurations, eliminating reliance on fixed reports and manual requests.

Columns / Fields

Entities

Reports are structured around selectable entities such as:

  • Prescription: Rx #, Fill Date, Written Date, AWP, Qty Ordered, Qty Filled, Fee, Pat Pay, Total, Days, Rx Status, Workflow Status, Rx Origin, Sig Directions, Refill Auth, Refills Remaining, Total Profit

  • Prescriber: Prescriber Last Name, Prescriber First Name, Prescriber Middle Name, Prescriber Full Name, Prescriber Address1, Prescriber Address2, Prescriber City, Prescriber State, Prescriber Zip, Prescriber Address, Prescriber Phone, Prescriber Fax

  • Patient: Patient Last Name, Patient First Name, Patient Middle Name, Patient Full Name, Patient Rec #, Patient Address1, Patient Address2, Patient County, Patient City, Patient State, Patient Zip, Patient Address, Patient Cell Phone, Patient Work Phone, Patient Phone, Patient DOB, Patient Gender

  • Drug: Drug, Package Size, NDC

  • Insurance: Plan Code, Plan Name

  • LTC: LTC Facility Name

These entities determine what columns/data fields appear in the report.

Sort Options

Add Sorting lets the pharmacy define how a report is sorted before generation, such as setting Rx # to ascending (ASC) or descending (DESC). Reports can still be sorted after generation, but the report builder allows sorting to be preset in advance.

Column Customization (Column Name and Order)

Column customization allows users to select or deselect columns, rearrange their order by dragging the cursor moving symbol.png next to the column name, rename column headers, or delete a column using the trash icon trashed.png . Users can also select Clear Columns to reset the layout.

Conditions

Conditions can be added to further filter the report, with support for multiple conditions. While optional, they help create a more targeted report based on the pharmacy’s needs. From here, you can select Add New Conditions, return to the columns section, or proceed without adding conditions.

When adding a new condition, select the column it applies to (must already be included in your columns), then choose the operator and value. Conditions can be reordered moving symbol.png to control how they are applied, cleared using Clear Conditions, or individually deleted using the trash icon trashed.png next to each condition.

  • Operators: Equals, does not equal, greater than, greater than or equal to, less than, less than or equal to, and between. For text-based columns (such as names), operators also include contains, does not contain, starts with, and ends with.

  • Values: Values can be numeric (e.g., days supply, NDC) or text-based depending on the selected column. For fields like workflow status, Rx origin, or Rx status, values are selected from predefined options on the screen.

  • + (Add Condition): Allows you to add a new condition and apply AND or OR logic to combine multiple conditions (e.g., filtering by multiple NDCs or combining drug, plan, and patient criteria).

  • Grouped By: Groups conditions to control how logic is applied and ordered, allowing for more advanced filtering (e.g., Days > 30 OR Days < 15, or combining multiple grouped conditions).

Generate Report

Once conditions are set or you proceed to Continue to Report, you’ll be taken to the report generation screen. Select the desired date range, then generate the report or apply additional filters before generating. If additional filters are applied, you must select Generate again to update the report.

If you need to customize the report at any time, return to the Report Builder to modify columns or conditions as needed.

Duplicate Filters

You may receive an error due to duplicate filters, which occurs when a condition already applies a filter (e.g., limiting results to paid, cash, or transmitted). This can conflict with options like Status to Display. To resolve this, return to the Conditions section to update or expand the condition, or remove it if you prefer to use the filter on the report screen.
