How does RxQuickSave work?
Through our integration with InteliSys, RxQuickSave is setup to operate behind the scenes in BestRx, whenever a claim is initiated using a discount card. Once triggered, it automatically compares the price the patient will pay out of pocket AND the amount your pharmacy will receive using the discount card to the RxQuickSave program. Whenever the program identifies a better financial outcome for you and your patient, the claim will be updated and processed through RxQuickSave instead.
How is RxQuickSave different from traditional discount/coupon cards?
RxQuickSave is integrated with your BestRx software and is triggered to run a cost comparison any time a discount card is being used for a claim. This eliminates the time-consuming process of having to manually enter and compare claims yourself.
Is there a cost to use RxQuickSave?
The RxQuickSave program is offered as a free integration/service in your BestRx software. There is no fee to activate the program and all price comparisons are done at no additional cost to you. When a claim is processed through RxQuickSave, it is not submitted through the switch provider, so there is no processing fee associated either. In fact, claims are ONLY processed through RxQuickSave when the program fee is less than the admin fees /clawbacks associated with the discount card.
How are the admin fees collected by RxQuickSave?
The program utilizes the same aggregation process that PBMs use to reconcile claims and reimburse pharmacies. RxQuickSave shares its claims processing and switch with InteliSys/ProCare, so they are sent to the clearinghouse collectively. That way, any administrative fees associated with claims processed through RxQuickSave will be automatically deducted from the total amount you’re reimbursed. Your reimbursement reports will also list which admin fees were paid to InteliSys (RxQuickSave) or ProCare respectively.
How much can my patients save through RxQuickSave?
It is important to keep in mind, the savings amount varies by claim. In some cases, RxQuickSave can help patients save as much as 94% on their medications and other durable medical goods, while simultaneously increasing your profit margin on each claim processed. Again, the program will only be used if the amount the patient will save is higher than the discount card savings. This way you can ensure it is mutually beneficial for your patients and store.
Can all patients, regardless of their insurance status, utilize RxQuickSave?
A patient’s insurance status does not impact their eligibility to use RxQuickSave. It is available to all patients nationwide, whether they are insured or not. With that being said, the program is only triggered when a claim is being processed through a discount card, not an insurance provider.
Will my pharmacy benefit financially by using RxQuickSave?
Yes! RxQuickSave can help you increase your store’s profit margins by identifying opportunities where the program’s fees for a particular claim are less than any admin fees or clawbacks associated with the discount card being presented. Additionally, by proactively finding ways to save your patients money, you’ll increase patient satisfaction and loyalty as well.
How will I know if the discount will negatively affect my profit margins?
RxQuickSave will only display if and when there is an opportunity to offer patient savings and increase your pharmacy's profit margin on a prescription claim. This eliminates the possibility that you’ll receive a lower amount on claims being processed through the program.
Who pays for the prescriptions that are approved by RxQuickSave?
Once approved, any prescriptions processed through RxQuickSave are converted to cash claims and your patients will pay the full amount at the time of service.
Are there any DIR fees or clawbacks associated with RxQuickSave?
There are no DIR fees associated with RxQuickSave. Instead, RxQuickSave builds a nominal transaction fee into the cash price of the prescription.
How does the reimbursement process work and when will I receive payment?
With RxQuickSave, you don’t have to wait to be reimbursed, since claims are processed as cash and payments are collected from the patient in real-time.
What will I need to do to train my staff?
