This function allows the user to batch scan prescription hard copies. The pharmacy has to have purchased the scanning feature from BestRx and have a compatible TWAIN driver scanner, capable of batch scanning. It also provides a Non-Scanned Rx Report that will display prescriptions without scanned images attached and a counterpart Scanned Rx Report to do the opposite. |
A. Batch Rx Image Scanning
To Batch Scan Rx Images, click on Misc -> 10 9. Rx Image Scanning -> A. Batch Rx Image Scanning.
This function of BestRx allows the user to automate prescription hard-copy scanning with their batch scanning capable scanner. These prescriptions have to have an identifying barcode affixed to the front of the prescription before scanning. This barcode will print with your prescription label. If you are lacking a barcode and have paid for this feature, please contact BestRx to have a barcode added to your prescription labels.
Note |
---|
In order for Batch Rx Image Scanning to recognize the Rx barcodes, the format of the barcode must be “RX” + Rx#. |
When you have your prescriptions ready to be scanned, insert them appropriately into your scanner and click the "Start Scanning" button. The prescriptions will appear one by one in the list after being scanned. At any time you can mouse over the listing to view a preview of the image.
If there was an error scanning any prescription, it will display under the "Error Scanning" tab. You can mouse over and view the image, and try to correct the error.
If any scanner options require to be adjusted, click the "Options" button to adjust them.
