Performing a Transaction
Here, we will go over the parts of a transaction step by step.
Scan in the Items
Items can be scanned we’ll walk you through the steps to complete a transaction in BestPOS.
1. Scanning Items into BestPOS
First, you will need to add items to the BestPOS system. This can be done by scanning them in using the Item SKU field at the top.
If the item is already in your system’s item database, the product information will populate automatically.
If the item isn’t in your
system’s item database,
it will ask if you want to add the item under the scanned SKU.

The shortcut buttons on the right can be configured to act as quick links to items. They can be set up to ask for a dollar amount for the item, or to add to the quantity in the transaction every time the button is pressed. . For example:

an item are being rung up.

The transaction can also be put on hold or resumed using the Hold and Resume buttons at the bottom.

4. Closing out the Register
To close out the your register batch for the day, press F11, or click Other the “Other” at the bottom right. If you don’t see the Other “Other” button, click the toggle [1|2] switch next to No Sale.
