Performing a Transaction

Here, we will go over the parts of a transaction step by step.

Scan in the Items

Items can be scanned we’ll walk you through the steps to complete a transaction in BestPOS.

1. Scanning Items into BestPOS

First, you will need to add items to the BestPOS system. This can be done by scanning them in using the Item SKU field at the top.

  • If the item is already in your system’s item database, the product information will populate automatically.

  • If the item isn’t in your

2. Selecting a Tender Type

Clicking Tenderwill open the Tender Type selection window. (These tender types are discussed more in the Tender Types article.)

To close out the your register batch for the day, press F11, or click Other the “Other” at the bottom right. If you don’t see the Other “Other” button, click the toggle [1|2] switch next to No Sale.
