Refill Reminder Report
The Refill Reminder report displays what refills are due and/or ready to be submitted for a refill request according to selected criteria. The user can choose to generate the report for a specific date range, and narrow it down by refill reminder status, insurance plan / insurance plan group or nursing home. You can also choose to display C2 drugs, or exclude non-picked up prescriptions.
The report displays result in two separate tabs. The main tab displays prescriptions "Refillable Now", and the second tab displays ones that "Require Refill Request".
From the main tab you can select the prescriptions that you'd like to add to the refill queue by simply selecting them and clicking the "Add to Refill Queue" button. You can alternatively select/deselect all by checking the "Check/Uncheck All" box.
You can directly send refill requests for prescriptions that require it, from the "Require Refill Request" tab. Click the ones you'd like to send requests for, and click the "Fax Refill Request" button. The function is the same as the Refill Request (F7) function.
To print the selected tab, click the "Print" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Print" button is highlighted. The print function for this report is slightly more in depth than other screens. The user can print the full report, a selective report, print mailing labels, print a mailing label test page, or simply cancel the print altogether.
If you'd like to export the report to a file, click the "Export Data" button or press the "Enter" key when the "Export Data" button is highlighted. NOTE: Export to Excel only works on full versions of Microsoft Excel/Office. It does NOT work with the Office Starter 2010 and other starter/third party versions. If using any one of these, export to a Comma Separated Values (CSV) instead.
The user may also clear all the data displayed on the screen by clicking the "Cancel" button or by pressing the "Enter" key when the "Cancel" button is highlighted.
How to Change Refill Due Date Basis
By default, refill due dates are based on the Fill Date. If you’d like the refill due dates to be based on the date the prescription was dispensed, go to File → I. Pharmacy Setup File → Refill and change the Refill Due Date Based On setting to Dispense Date. The Refill Reminder Report will include a column for the Dispense Date and calculate the refill due date based on that date if the prescription has been dispensed.
