The COB screen is used when the you want to bill one prescription to two (or more) different multiple insurance companies. When dual billing is setup set up correctly, this the information will be is filled out automatically; otherwise the information on this screen needs to be input in automatically. Otherwise, you must enter it manually. To set up COB you will first have to make the proper selection in the patient's insurance plans section. Insurance plan settings themselves will vary depending on what the insurance needs. It is entirely possible to enter in information manually, however it's , select the appropriate insurance plans for the patient. Each plan may require different settings. While manual entry is possible, it is not recommended as it can cause in an improperly billed COB claim.Coordination of Benefits is often very dynamic, and differs from one insurance to another. Because of this, there is not one unified standard in which these options should be submitted. If you run into problems dual-billing, please contact us for assistance and we'll be glad to help you submit the claim correctly. From there, as long as the insurance company does not change their configuration, the claims will bill the samelead to errors.

Since COB varies between insurances, there is no standard way to submit it. If you encounter issues with dual billing, please refer to Split Billing(Detailed) and /wiki/spaces/BRXCS/pages/806158442 (Shorter) or contact BestRx Support.

Once set up, claims should process the same, as long as the insurer’s configuration doesn’t change.
