Overview

Solutran and BestRx are partned partnered together to allow pharmacies to process OTC card payments through the BestPOS point BestPOS point-of-sale software. Because the

For now Solutran S3 solution operates cards process directly through the BestPOS software, there is no need to purchase an additional terminal.

Important Update: Solutran S3 Cards Transition to Magnetic Stripe Only

Effective 01/01/2025, Solutran S3 cards will be magnetic stripe only. To ensure proper functionality, the recommended reader is the MiniMag II IDMB (Model IDMB-334112B). This will be plug and play.

A stand-alone magnetic stripe reader is now required to process these benefit cards. Please refer to the approved model, as we cannot guarantee compatibility with other readers.

Pharmacies can register with Solutran’s S3 Retailer Network by clicking with this link.

Setup

To set up S3 functionality up, open POS Admin ➡️ Administration ➡️ C. Store Setup ➡️ General and make sure the Accept SolutranS3 Cards to Yes, if set to No click ‘Change’ and enter the Daily Password. In addition, the pharmacy’s merchant ID through Solutran should be entered in the S3 Merchant ID field.

We at BestRx do not retain this information; the pharmacist will need to reach out to Solutran if they do not know their merchant ID, ask them to specifically request the merchant ID and verify this information, inputting the wrong number can cause issues with payments. Image Removed
