Traditional medication instructions are overly complex and only offered in a few languages. As a result, patients don't always understand how to take their medications, putting their health and treatment outcomes at risk.
That's why BestRx offers an integration with Meducation, a cloud-based solution that's transforming the way pharmacies engage with their patients by making education simpler and more accessible.
Through the integration, pharmacies can provide patients with:
Easy-to-understand educational materials in 30+ languages.
Larger font sizes when needed.
Personalized medication instructions and regimen summaries.
Sig instructions for single or multi-lingual prescription labels.
Universal medication schedules.
Visual aids, like dosing pictograms.
Digital education, including technique-specific demo videos via a QR code that's printed on prescription labels and handouts.

HOW IT WORKS
Meducation uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology to identify components of prescription instructions (dose, frequency, route, indication and duration) and translated libraries of pre-built phrases that cover instructions for most self-administered medication routes and drug forms.
Once phrases are developed at the appropriate reading level in English, they are sent through a series of quality assurance steps to prevent the contextual mistranslations associated with machine-generated translations. That way, pharmacies can feel confident that they are providing easy-to-understand, accurate prescription information - no matter what language it's in.
